using WatchKnow

I really like WatchKnow because you can find videos that are age/learning level appropriate. I get to teach an Adaptive Life Skills Social Studies course. One challenge is to find technology that high school students who are low level learners. It is great to be able to condense the search by age level to find clips of video that would be relevant to my class.

what I learned

This was a good session. I actually went into this seminar thinking that we would learn how to access certain sites and how to look for validity in sites. That goes to show how elementary my tech knowledge is (I can't wait to learn how to use google documents next time). Technology in the classroom is a growing and required method of teaching. I think that all teachers and support staff would benefit from this.

I also learned that tiny slivers of apples taste pretty good in ham and cheese foccasia sandwiches.

fall seminar B

Even though I am not a classroom teacher, I still find a great deal of relevance in this course. I hope to use what I have learned as an ed-tech, teacher of a special ed class, future classroom teacher, and even as a parent.
